Exploring Teenager Risks and Protective Factors in Delaware with ArcGIS Online

This interactive map is designed to highlight protective factors and substance use rates among teenagers in Delaware. Using the Delaware School Survey data, past month rates of alcohol use,  marijuana use, and past year rates of prescription pain killer use are displayed by zip codes. The lighter yellow zip codes represents areas of lower use, while bolder red zip codes represents areas of higher use. Overlayed on this map are the location of different after school and summer programs for risk diversion, youth development, and safe environments for teens.

Organizations can use this heat map to help identify areas that have higher concentration of substance use and to identify gaps in services.

For parents, this map highlights resources and programs to benefit their families.
